The Lady Antiquary

The Lady Antiquary

The Antiquarian Academy is run by late sixteenth - early nineteenth century lady antiquary, Mrs. Leach, who guides time tourists around the past.

She provides a range of educational services and products. These include lectures, talks and seminars; exhibitions, workshops and practical demonstrations - including crafts; trails and guided tours; training, and team-building sessions; and gifts and illustrations. Mrs Leach employs storytelling and immersive hands-on engagement with her substantial artefacts collections, as well as traditional teaching practices.

Her educational events are generally held in her home county of Derbyshire, England (and occasionally beyond); and she provides digital material for participation elsewhere.

The 'Lady Antiquary' has been teaching for over twenty years, using her background in archaeology and material culture studies (BA Hons, MA, PhD, ACIfA) to produce and deliver creative and memorable events and resources.
